We offer a unique, innovative and enjoyable approach for students of all ages to learn to play the piano. Our instruction is group based with small class sizes of 4-8 students providing a thorough grounding in music fundamentals for beginning, intermediate and advanced students of all ages. Students who progress through each level will emerge as independent musicians who can read, write, improvise and create music.
The step by step learning process ensures students will secure a strong foundation to become proficient pianists with rhythm understanding being the basis for success. If your child chooses to take choir, band or orchestra in school, they will be prepared, as we have noticed that students in performing groups who haven’t had enough rhythmic drilling don’t know how to count!
Reading notation is the most difficult step, and it must not be introduced to children who are too young. We don’t teach this abstract reasoning skill earlier than seven years of age (though there are always exceptions to the rule).
We offer a 5 day introductory course, Blast Off With Piano! for beginning children wanting to try out group piano lessons, year long group piano courses for beginning and intermediate students, private lessons for advanced students and adult lessons.
